the scene stealer

i was out with my dogs today for our afternoon walk and decided to bring along my camera to capture them enjoying the beautiful spring day. always a fair momma, i took turns taking photos of each monster. but someone kept running into tichka‘s frame when it was her time in the spotlight. hmmmm…i’m not…

Heather Rivlin - Pure sibling rivalry at its best! Love how he just steps into the frame…and we think men don’t need attention – HA!!

Cameron

i grew up with dogs. never had a cat. so i never knew just what my life was missing without a frisky feline in it. i did live with a cat for a few years, but never had one that picked me… until one day, an awesome little cat came into my life and showed me exactly what…

Melanie - I love that story!!!…how Cameron came into your life. Soooooo cute.

tabitha - Awwwww…..I loved reading about your adorable Cameron and how she came to be in your life. I don’t know what I’d do without the company of my crazy cats either. I always thought I was more of a dog person too until I worked at the animal shelter. Now look at me! She sounds like she has a similar personality to my cats. If she ever needs a playdate, she has 3 kitty cousins that would love to meet her. :-)

Tabitha, Karma, Chimo, and Maverick.

K-Famer - Sounds like her and the monster that is Super Tuxy Tux are sole mates. He also greets us at the door like a puppy and just loves to talk…I’ve never had a cat quite like him. People actually point out that it’s James only in cat form which I can totally see now.

PS I totally love all your animals

my signs of spring

here are a few of the things that i notice in my world of further proof that spring is finally here: 1. the ground at the dog parks are just a teeny bit soft. 2. i feel the sudden urge to surround myself with vibrant colours. 3. deck wrestling season opens. 4. the first buds on my purple sandcherry begin to…

sandra - Thanks Marcia for an incredible session. Your patience and talent is undeniable. We are so pleased with how our pics turned out. These pics are a beautiful keepsake that Dexter will love one day :)

Jeanette - What a beautiful session & family. I love the one with all of them on the bed it would make a gorgeous canvas!

it’s a little tichka dude!

i often have people ask me, ”are your dogs related?” my answer is always, “only by love”. yes they absolutely do resemble each other, there is no doubt and no coincidence there. i guess i also have ‘a type’ of dog as well as a type of man. tall, dark and handsome translates in canine to small, slender and…
