Hot Yoga Giveaway

i love yoga…hot yoga…Moksha yoga to be exact. i’ve been practicing yoga for 9 years and i finally took part in my very first 30-day challenge. i’ve been wanting to do this for many years now…finding the time being my biggest obstacle. i am excited to report, as of this past Wednesday i completed the…

Angela - Hurray! Congrats on your accomplishment.

I’ve been a journey for a few years now. A spiritual and better health journey, with the goal to Live Joy Now!

First, I started with Traditional Chinese Medicine that cured my migraines, then I QUIT smoking and now I am practicing clean eating and adding more exercise into my daily routine as I get healthier. I love the idea of adding yoga to the mix. I have practiced it a bit but I am a little frightened of HOT yoga. Your give away would let me dip my toes in.

See you in the park, you wonder woman you!

stacey - Wow, look at all those smiley faces next to your name! Way to go Marcia! I too, LOVE hot yoga, altho I go to a Bikram studio. Would love to try out Moksha to “shake things up a bit”. So, pick me! Pick Me! PICK ME! please. lol

Megan - Very interested! I’ve started to run again, and could use a different workout besides running around the block!

Alison - I’m not sure if I qualify ( I used to do Moksha at Danforth) but I surely do miss it there! The people are fabulous, the smell when you walk in is the most refreshing-butt-kick smell on earth. The instant high you feel afterwards along with the softest skin ever is enough to make me want to go back.

Farewell Wilson

today i received some more sad news. Wilson, the truly charming and ultra-handsome yellow lab i had the pleasure of photographing, was put to rest at his home yesterday with his loving momma by his side… who shared her thoughts with me in an email: “He was enduring too much pain for me to let…

Elaine - I am so sorry for your loss. I am in the same spot with our lab Ike. I know how hard this decision can be and how lucky we are to have them as long as we do.

Heather Rivlin - Linda, I am so sorry for your loss. As a new lab owner (9 months), I know how deep that attachment runs, and how much Wilson will be missed. He was a beautiful dog, and the love and compassion in his eyes speaks volumes. I am so very sorry.

Heather - Linda, my heart goes out to you. I didn’t personally know Wilson, although these photos make me feel like I did! And I know how important he was to you. I’m sending you a Dutch size hug from Holland!

Kirsten - Dear Wilson’s Mom,
I just watched the slideshow of Wilson and feel heartbroken for your loss. The photos showed such joy in the simple things and an overarching theme of sweetness coming through in every one. How lucky you each were to have one another. He was just beautiful.

LISA GILBERT - I AM SURE THAT YOUR LIFE, WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN, “SO” ENRICHED WITHOUT HIM! I’AM NOT JUST “SAYING THIS” AS AN OVER THE YEARS , LABRADOR OWNER BUT—– LABS ROCK! DOGS ARE NOT OUR WHOLE LIFE- BUT THEY MAKE OUR LIVES WHOLE! SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS!- LISA GILBERT

Nancy - My heart hurts for yours in this, and rejoices in the joy that was yours and Wilson’s.

Jane - Linda – thinking of you as I experienced these remarkable pictures and shared in the tribute of Wilson’s life with you. We love our animal companions, and we love you.
Thankyou Marcia.

Susan - What gorgeous pictures of a wonderful relationship. A treasure to keep, for sure. I love you, Linda.

Vicki - Linda,
How thoughtful of you to share such a sad moment with your friends and family. In that way, you reached out at a time when we need to reach out to you. Wilson was more than your dog; he was your faithful companion in life, showing unwavering love, concern and he was ever present. May he remain as he was: in spirit, in your heart and in your mind’s eye, telling you how loved you are.
Peacefully yours – Vicki

Lynn - Linda My thoughts are with you. It took great courage to make the decision you did for Wilson. I will miss my wonderful, beautiful neighbour. I am so pleased that I was able to be part of Wilson’s circle of friends.

Karen - Linda – Wilson will certainly be missed by all and his wonderful personality and unwavering love for you was beautiful to witness. Both you and Wilson got so much out of your relationship and he was so very fortunate to have found himself as a member of your family. These photos are a beautiful depiction of Wilson and I hope that they will serve to always remind you of the warmth, love and caring that accompanied every moment with your special boy.

Maureen - so nice and fun and what a fine tribute to a special dog!

Danica - What beautiful photos that show Wilson’s joie de vivre. My condolences, Linda. This is one of the most difficult yet courageous choices we have to make for our furry companions.

Grace - I am so sorry to hear of the passing of handsome Wilson. What a gorgeous dog he was, and he obviously had a wonderful life and a very, very loving family. Our dog is only 4 (today!), but seeing these photos and reading the stories just makes me realize how lucky we are that he is still so young and healthy. I know he, too, will be gone some day, and I can only begin to imagine how you are feeling. Hugs.

Archie’s Present

i love to capture all the moments that happen living with my two dogs and two cats. whether those moments are cute, hilarious, messy or down-right disgusting, one thing is for sure: they are always spontaneous and real! so let me share the latest ‘real’ moment that happened today…WARNING: if you are easily grossed out,…

Vanja - I just love their presents….my cat Luna beside mice, birds, insecets brings us clean, just washed socks from neigbourhood, male, female, all kind of socks….she used to bite off parts of our socks when she was baby so this way she is fixing her kittenhood mistakes, we have full plastic bag of socks from neighbourhood..ouh yeah, who ever washes car and forget washing sponge outside she brings it too, sponge and sock mania. And our young male brings little kittens (alive), so we usually have to look for owners..XD

Vickie Sparks - What an honour he bestowed upon you – he looks so smug lying their next to his prey! Tichka and LD have clearly been teaching him some nasty habits!!!!

Lynda Hixson - WOW …… Archie actually brought it to you ….. how sweet. Woody just eats them :0( He got another one the other night …… he brought it part way to us on the deck and then decided that he came close enough and he just tipped his head up and swallowed ……. wish I could have got the pic of him with the tail hanging out of his mouth :0)

Nina - Oh, Archie! What a good boy to protect everyone from the big, bad squirrel. I, too, had a cat who brought home “presents”. Nevermind that I was a little girl and named him Peanut Butter Fluffball aka Fluff–he was a big tomcat and took care of business.

Janet - Marcia,

That is soo funny…. My first JR Penny used to leave dead mice at my front door and she was very proud that she was protecting the house from varmints…

stacey - Wow, I made it into one of your blogs! I`ll be sure to share this with the cat who left the mouse on my pillow! LOL

Tabitha Holman - Thumper brought me a dead mouse once and put it proudly on my pillow while I was sleeping. It was still in the trap too. He was an indoor cat his whole life, so that was the only “hunting” experience he ever had. And I was the “lucky one” he decided to share it with.

Karin - That was one freaky video! I don’t think the little girl learned anything about death actually, but glad her parents were so sensible about the whole thing.
I have to ask…did Archie eat his catch or just play with it a while?

Danica - Wow! Nice catch, Archie! I get plenty of moles and mice (and a whole nest of possums, once) but squirrels are a toughie.

Farewell Stanley

last night i learned that Stanley, the cat who first weaseled his way into my heart, passed away yesterday. he was 16 years old. his health was in question a few weeks ago but i hadn’t realized at the time how dire it was and i’m truly sorry i didn’t get a chance to say…

Michal Russell - I love your images and share your passion for animals :) Amazing work.

Teri Van Sickle-Brown - Thanks Marce for creating this- Stanley was loved by all and he was a lucky “little” guy to have had such a wonderful father that took such good care of him. He will be sadly missed but he indeed did have a good life. RIP sweet Stanley. :(

Kristen - Beautiful shots Marcia. You can see how loved he was by both you and Scott. The sink and box shots are probably two of my most favorites. Sorry for the loss. Just think he is somewhere where there is an endless supply of tuna juice, sinks, small boxes, shoes of every color and size for his collection and where no one would dare go near his belly. Rest in Peace Stanley.

Sandy - So sorry to hear about Stanley.. What a beauty he was!! I love the photos… Treasure the memories…….. Thinking of you….

Sandy

Christine Bode - I feel like I know Stanny a bit now so I would say that you have given him an absolutely wonderful tribute, Marcia! You really captured his personality and got some terrific photos of him. Thank you as always for sharing even when it’s so hard to see a loved one pass on.

Vickie Sparks - Now that looks like a cat with cat-titude! Love the markings and those gorgeous green eyes. I love the photo of him smooshed against the wall – it looks like he was sitting, but then slowly slid down to the floor, and made it look like it was on purpose!
It is always hard to lose a friend – so sorry for your loss.

scott - Thanks Marce. Very nicely done.

Cec - Oh Stanny….he was a big old softie under that gruff exterior. We’ll miss ya big guy!
Great photos Marce, as always you captured his spirit perfectly!

Lydia G - Beautiful pictures and beautiful memories

Tara - i agree with eileen. my faves are the first shot, the one of him in profile, and both basket shots. i’m sorry you lost your first kitty marcia. x

Naomi - We have a white&grey with those same gorgeous green eyes. RIP dearest Stanley.

Eileen - What a beautiful cat! Great shots of him, Marce. It’s easy to see he was loved!
